Private property
A container placed entirely on your own driveway or lot generally needs no permit anywhere in the Birmingham metro.
Public right-of-way
If any part of the container sits on a public street, sidewalk or alley, most municipalities including Bessemer and Birmingham require a right-of-way or obstruction permit from the city.
HOA and neighborhood rules
Many subdivisions restrict how long a container can remain visible. Check your covenants before scheduling a two-week rental.
How we help
Tell us the intended placement when you book. If it needs a permit, we will tell you which office to call and what they will ask for.
Talk it through with us
Reading a guide gets you most of the way there. A two-minute phone call gets you the rest. Call (205) 584-4132 and describe the project, or request a written quote.
